About

For me, I wrote myself home.

Writing began for me as a way of making sense of my own life — of finding the thread beneath the stories I’d accumulated, putting language around things long before I could explain them.

Where it began

I wrote to understand.

Often that came through poetry or lyrical prose. I would write towards a feeling, a story that wanted to be told, a truth I could sense but couldn’t yet articulate.

Writing became a way of making sense of the world around me, and of my own humanity within it.

And somewhere in doing that for myself, I began to notice I could hear it in other people too.

At first, it happened naturally — in conversations, in supporting people I knew, in hearing the thing they were reaching for before they quite had the words for it themselves.

How I listen

I listen differently.

I hear the sentence underneath the sentence.

The part you almost said.

The thread running through a story that can be difficult to see when you’re standing inside it.

Over time, what began instinctively became a practice.

That’s where Narrative Partner came from.

Writing & community

A practice that is still unfolding.

Alongside client work, I'm developing my own creative writing. It keeps me close to the uncertainty and discovery my clients feel when they sit down to write.

I'm also exploring how narrative and reflective writing could be used in facilitated group and community settings: spaces where people can listen to one another and find words together.

The business is at an early stage, and I'm testing and developing new creative offers. If you'd like to be part of that, I'd love to hear from you.
